Inlay and Marquetry

Inlay is an extension of veneering, where small pieces of material are placed into precision cut spaces forming a picture or pattern. Gosling is passionate about using new materials to create extraordinary and original finishes, including, straw, gold, copper, nickel and brass. Semi precious stones like marble, agate, lapis and cornelian are used for inlays using traditional techniques such as mosaic, scagiola and pietra dura.
