The Apothecaries’ Hall is one of the largest livery companies in London. The original building was destroyed in The Great Fire of London in 1666. Gosling was commissioned to restore many rooms, including the extraordinary ceiling in the Great Hall. Examining historical records closely with Historic England a design and regilding programme was created using magnificent Georgian tonal colours. The staircase panelling was sensitively restored and the historic Apothecary shop reinstated.
