The wonderful art of Verre Églomisé, a #decorative technique in which gold or silver leaf is applied to the back side of a piece of glass, engraved, and protected by varnish, metal foil, or another piece of glass. This creates a reflecting, mirror like glow and is incredibly difficult to do. Isn't it just beautiful?

It`s really amazing to create this `trompe l`oeil` effect purely in different coloured wools and silks - it really pops doesn`t it - evolution of tradition!
